The house postcode OL3 5LU, DOES NOT take you directly to the field. The house is across the valley to the field, as shown on the map.
The field is part way up Huddersfield Road (Diggle to Marsden Road), where the road meets the left hand turn off for Dean Head Lane, as again shown below.
DO NOT USE the steep Deanhead Lane for access IN SNOWY / ICY CONDITIONS.

General Directions
The field is located in Saddleworth, Greater Manchester – midway between Manchester and Leeds. It is also on the 184 Manchester to Huddersfield bus route.
If travelling from DIGGLE…
Go past Diggle Primary School on your right, heading towards Marsden. Up the hill and through the small hamlet of houses where the road narrows for a left hand bend. Next there is a white house on your right, the road levels out and you will come to a sharp right hand bend. The field entrance is on your left on this bend.
If travelling from MARSDEN side…
Come through the Standedge Cutting and take the left turn towards Diggle. Go past the first lane you come to on your right called Tetly-By Road. 20 yards past Tetly-By Road is the field on your right, just before a sharp left hand bend.
If travelling from DELPH area…
Go past The Saddleworth Hotel (OL3 5LX) towards Marsden, you’ll then see a junction on your right where you can turn to Uppermill (where the old Horse & Jockey burnt down pub is). Continue 50 yards past this junction still towards Marsden, and on your right is Dean Head Lane, turn down this lane. It’s steep! Go all the way along the lane, where the lane meets the main road again – the field is on your right!
